I promised you student leadership that listens. I promised you a voice that actually matters.
But the doors were locked before we even arrived. They didn't let me run. They’ve decided that your ideas and your concerns don't deserve a seat at the table this year. They won't let me give you guys a voice.
I feel like I have failed you. We built this movement to change things, but the system proved how far it will go to keep things the same.
They say "there’s always next year"—but as we just saw, nothing is guaranteed.
The only chance we have now is if enough people add my name to their slips and number me first. It may not work, but at least we get the message across.
The campaign is paused. The message remains.
