The Purpose of This Policy
In accordance with Article IV, Section 4.2 of the Official Campaign Constitution, the Vote For Blayze 2027 (VFB) Campaign champions the protection of student digital rights and privacy.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all technology used within the Campaign is safe, secure, respectful, and highly effective. Furthermore, this document serves as an ironclad safeguard for the Campaign’s Intellectual Property (IP), internal strategies, and Confidential Information, establishing strict boundaries between Campaign data and school administrative overreach.
Acceptable Use & Public Conduct
1.1 Scope of Technology
All VFB members and supporters must use technology appropriately when representing VFB in any capacity. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Personal laptops, computers, and tablets.
- Mobile phones and smart devices.
- Social media accounts, both official Campaign pages and personal accounts referencing the Campaign.
- Internal communication channels, group chats, and messaging apps.
- Video production, graphic design, and editing software.
- The official Campaign website (kennysworld.net) and its backend infrastructure.
1.2 The Standard of Excellence
Technology must only be used for positive, legal, and respectful purposes that advance the Campaign’s mission. In accordance with the Campaign’s core value of Excellence, all digital outputs must reflect a high standard of professionalism, credibility, and creativity.
2.1 Online Behaviour
When posting online as part of VFB, or when an observer could reasonably associate a member’s digital footprint with the Campaign, members must strictly adhere to the following:
- Zero Tolerance for Harassment: No bullying, harassment, intimidation, or targeted insults toward any student, teacher, or opponent.
- Factual Integrity: No spreading of fake rumours, unverified claims, or misinformation.
- Appropriate Content: No crude, offensive, explicit, or discriminatory content.
- Constructive Tone: Political humour, satire, and memes are highly encouraged as creative campaign tools, provided they remain clever, school-appropriate, and do not cross into personal defamation.
2.2 Reputation Management
Members are digital ambassadors of the Campaign. VFB reserves the right to immediately suspend or remove members from Campaign duties if their online behaviour breaches the Code of Conduct (Article IX) or damages the reputation and credibility of the Campaign.
Privacy, Security & Inviolability
3.1 Absolute Obligation of Confidence
The VFB campaign handles highly sensitive internal files, strategic roadmaps, policy drafts, membership details, and proprietary Intellectual Property. Under Article XII of the Constitution, protecting this data is a mandatory obligation for all members. Members must use secure passwords, log out of shared devices immediately after use, and never share Campaign data over unsecured, public networks.
3.2 Authorised Hardware & Encrypted Storage
To ensure maximum security, the core data, master files, and primary operational documents of the Campaign are to be hosted exclusively on highly secure, encrypted cloud storage. The only authorised primary physical hardware devices for raw data storage and master file manipulation are:
- Blayze Vercoe’s MacBook Pro (Campaign Leader)
- Ramsey Hendry’s MacBook Air (Head of Marketing)
3.3 Protection Against Administrative Searches (The "No-Access" Rule)
Because member laptops and devices are personal property and may contain or have cached access to proprietary and confidential Campaign Information, school leadership, teachers, IT administrators, and any other non-campaign personnel are strictly prohibited from accessing, searching, confiscating, or removing files from any Campaign member's personal laptop or device.
VFB members do not have the authority to voluntarily waive the Campaign’s Intellectual Property rights or grant school staff access to Campaign Confidential Information.
3.4 Protocol for Administrative Demands
If a teacher, administrator, or staff member attempts, requests, or demands to search a Campaign member's personal device, the member is legally bound by this Policy to execute the following protocol:
- Refuse Access: Politely but firmly close the device and state: "I cannot grant access to this personal device as it contains confidential Intellectual Property and data belonging to the Vote For Blayze 2027 Campaign."
- Invoke Policy: Inform the staff member that under Campaign Policy, you are strictly forbidden from allowing third-party access to the device.
- Mandatory Escalation: Inform the staff member that if they wish to pursue the matter, they must contact the Founder & Campaign Leader directly.
- Provide Contact: Provide the staff member with Blayze Vercoe’s direct contact number: 0452 440 732.
No access to any Campaign device will be granted under any circumstances without the Campaign Leader physically present and providing explicit consent.
AI, Content & Event Filming
4.1 Approved Use of AI
Artificial intelligence, digital editing software, and advanced design tools are vital to the Campaign’s creativity. They may be used for brainstorming, poster design, video generation, speech drafting, and strategic planning.
4.2 Prohibitions on AI and Manipulation
While the Campaign embraces technological innovation, integrity is non-negotiable. Therefore:
- AI-generated content must remain truthful and must not be used to fabricate facts.
- Edited media must not intentionally mislead the student body.
- Deepfakes, voice cloning, or digitally manipulated recordings of students, teachers, or opponents are strictly and universally prohibited.
5.1 Objectives of Digital Content
In alignment with Article XV of the Constitution, all digital content produced by VFB should aim to:
- Inform and empower the student body.
- Encourage genuine school spirit and community engagement.
- Promote the Campaign’s policy platform and vision for 2027.
- Create highly entertaining, culturally relevant, and engaging material that students want to share organically.
5.2 Expressly Prohibited Content
Under no circumstances shall Campaign content include:
- Hate speech, bigotry, or discrimination of any kind.
- Explicit, violent, or overly graphic material.
- Threats, intimidation, or blackmail.
- Any material that violates state/federal laws or core school safety regulations.
6.1 Conduct During Filming
When capturing photo or video content for the Campaign on school grounds:
- Campaign filming must not disrupt active academic classes or exams.
- Members must comply if a teacher reasonably requests that devices be put away during instructional time.
- Members must handle all technical equipment (cameras, microphones, laptops) responsibly and ensure it is not left unattended.
6.2 Consent and Respect
The Campaign respects the privacy of individual students. Members must obtain verbal consent before making any student the primary, identifiable focus of a Campaign video or photograph.
Enforcement & Final Declaration
7.1 Disciplinary Action
Failure to follow this IT Policy is considered a material breach of the Campaign Constitution. Depending on the severity of the breach, consequences may include:
- Immediate suspension or removal from VFB media and digital teams.
- Revocation of access to all Campaign digital accounts, cloud storage, and group chats.
- Formal disciplinary action under Article XVII of the Official Campaign Constitution.
- In cases of severe misconduct, immediate removal from the Campaign.
8.1 Final Declaration
Vote For Blayze 2027 believes that technology should be used creatively, safely, and responsibly to elevate student communication and force genuine engagement within the school community. We also firmly and unapologetically believe that student digital privacy, data security, and the intellectual property of this Campaign—housed exclusively on personal devices—are fundamental rights. They are not privileges to be suspended at the convenience of the institution, and they will be protected at all times.
